I Love Being An Orthodontist! I Can’t Imagine A More Fulfilling Profession.
Every day, I help people I care about make a lasting, positive change in their lives. During visits, I have time to really get to know each patient and we build a relationship. My work means helping my friends achieve their most beautiful smiles. What could be better?
I grew up in a dental family. My grandfather, father, and uncle all ran successful dental practices, and I saw their happiness and how much they helped people. Initially I thought I’d become a pediatrician, but orthodontics is truly my calling. I am surrounded all day by smiles!
I believe each of my patients deserves to be treated with the same respect, compassion, and empathy I’d extend to my own family. I want my patients to feel at home, safe, and celebrated during their visits. Each is important to me and I always have their best interests at heart.
My Team
I’m proud of my team members. Each brings specific talents and excitement to our practice. They are as committed as I am to delivering leading-edge care that keeps patients smiling! I love listening to my staff laughing and joking with patients. They genuinely care about patients as people, and are incredibly supportive and nurturing.
They are also professional and stay on top of changes in orthodontics to make sure our patients receive the best clinical and customer care!
Education and Continuing Education
My Doctorate of Dental Surgery was awarded by West Virginia University, where I graduated with honors. Next I attended the University of Louisville, and completed a Master of Science and a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
One of the most amazing things about orthodontics is how our field is constantly evolving. New technologies and advances in techniques and materials mean more efficient, effective, and comfortable treatment.
Each year I complete many continuing education courses in order to stay current on these innovations. My patients deserve the best treatment options and results, and continuing education allows me to exceed their expectations!
Beyond the Office
I was born and raised in the Mid-Ohio Valley, where I graduated from St. Marys High School as valedictorian. Now my family and I call Parkersburg home.
My husband, Rich, and I have two daughters, Audrey and Alexandra. While I enjoy exercising and traveling, spending time with my family is a priority when I’m not helping my patients!
Being part of our wonderful community is important to me. I currently serve on the board at our local YMCA and volunteer at my church, too.
